This week’s Perspective Letter explored love, healing, and what it means to open yourself to something new after you've been hurt.
Past experiences can teach us valuable lessons about love, trust, boundaries, and what we deserve. But as we move forward, there's an important question to consider: Are we allowing those lessons to become wisdom, or are we allowing them to become walls?
Healing may look different for everyone. And perhaps being ready for something new isn't about forgetting what happened or eliminating every fear—it's about recognizing how much you've grown because of it.
For me, healing doesn't mean my past no longer matters. It means I've learned how to carry it differently. I'm learning that I can protect my peace, maintain healthy boundaries, and still allow myself to be open to something new. The goal isn't to love without fear—it's to make sure fear isn't the one making my decisions.
This Week's Perspective Question
How do you know when you've truly healed enough to welcome someone new into your life?
Take a moment to reflect, then share your perspective in the comments below. Feel free to respond to someone else's thoughts as well. We all experience life differently, and sometimes the perspective that changes us most comes from hearing someone else's story. Different perspectives. One conversation.
Thank you for continuing the conversation with In.Real.Life. I look forward to hearing your perspective and seeing you next Friday for another Perspective Letter!
