This week’s Perspective Letter explored what courage can look like when life feels uncertain, difficult, or overwhelming. Courage is not always something big or dramatic. Sometimes it is simply continuing when you are unsure, speaking up when it would be easier to stay quiet, asking for help, setting a boundary, starting again, or choosing not to give up.
I’m learning that courage does not require me to feel fearless. When life gets hard, I remind myself that the fear or difficulty I am experiencing is temporary. I also remind myself that I have made it through hard seasons before. I believe in myself, and when my confidence is not as strong, I am grateful for the people I love who believe in me too. For me, courage is trusting that this moment will not last forever and that I am capable of getting through it.
This Week’s Perspective Question
How do you show courage when life feels difficult? I’d love to hear from you. Take a moment to reflect, then share your perspective in the comments below. Feel free to respond to someone else's thoughts as well. We all experience life differently, and sometimes the perspective that changes us most comes from hearing someone else's story.
Different perspectives. One conversation. Thank you so much for continuing the conversation with In.Real.Life. I look forward to hearing your perspective and seeing you next Friday for another Perspective Letter!
